(More customer reviews)I'm a 34 yr old black woman with caramel colored skin and have been suffering from cystic acne for years. My skin is combination, but mostly oily in the t-zone and just a mess of acne scars on my chin. For the past few months, I'd been getting a new, big, fat, cystic zit on my chin every week. I'd used glycolic acid in the past and read some reviews about peels, so thought I'd give this a shot.
I've done this peel twice and saw results even just after the first. It does burn, but the second time wasn't as bad. A light scab forms over "bad" skin which peels off starting the 3rd or 4th day revealing brighter, clearer skin. I was a little red, but went out the night I did even my first one and no one noticed. Peeling off the old, dead skin does make way for everything that's bubbling below to make its way to the surface, so do expect some minor breakouts, but mine didn't do NEARLY as much damage and scarring as they would've in the past.
Overall, a great product for people who suffer from bad skin. My old scars are much less reduced with just 2 peels. I can't wait to see what regular use does for my skin.
